Kapo Maʻi Lele (Kapo And Her Flying Lady Parts) is a visually stunning, animated take on a traditional Hawaiian tale (moʻolelo). The film offers a fresh, humorous, candid, and raw island rendition of the story of how Kohelepele (Koko Head) came to exist. In ancient Hawaiʻi, the arrogant demigod, Kamapuaʻa (Man/Pig/Fish) pursues the fiery volcano goddess (Pele) of Hawaiʻi, who tires of his playboy exploits and calls upon her sister, Kapoʻs, female power for aid. She lures him to Oʻahu, and in an explosive frenzy, traps him in the crater known from then on as Kohelepelepe.
